April 3, 2018
This morning I was thinking about how it is not Thanksgiving – but I am so grateful and thankful to God for the benefit of medicine and the intelligence He gifted to physicians.  I have seen great results in a treatment plan that is working for me. Thankful and blessed and rejoicing.
Later, I went to search for a daily devotional.  I was sort of getting out of that morning routine.  I used to make sure that was something I did EVERY morning.   But the last three years I have been working full time and then came the onset of Psoriatic Arthritis.  Life got very busy y’all!  I still found time to connect with Jesus, still attending church, but to be honest – my private devotion time has been pretty slack.  So what did I do –  I Googled. A few popped up, I had read those before. Saw what I thought was a new one by Rick Warren.  Have not read many of his devotionals, so I clicked on that one.
First paragraph read “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  I Thessalonians 5:18” I am paraphrasing from the devotional– “In the US we celebrate a day of thanksgiving once a year.  But God wants us to be intentional about our thankfulness every day. You can thank God in every circumstance because God is in Control.”
Jaw dropping.  I looked at the date of the devotional – June 15th, 2014.  Jaw dropped again.  Wow. God is so good, amazing and perfect in all of His ways.  Way back on June 15, 2014 Rick Warren’s devotional inspired and confirmed my thoughts that God knew I would have on April 4th, 2018.  NOTHING is coincidental with our powerful Father.  Affirmation that I know He heard me this morning with my thankful prayer and lead me to a place to let me know He is always listening and always thinking of our future, even four years ago. Here is the link if you would like to read his devotion.
Love and hugs.
