I hit a wall and had to march around it!

I hit a wall. Literally a wall. I had to march around it.   I got nothing.  I read your cry in pain, saw newcomers to the disease.  Could offer some words of encouragement - but I just did not have any to give you.  I was ashamed of myself - I had stated from the beginning of my diagnosis that I would reach out to those hurting and experiencing this disease and offer all the encouragement I could muster up to give them.

You see my PSa friends, I have a real heart for your journey.  I want to offer encouragement.  But at  times nothing comes to me to offer you. So I just quietly said a prayer for you when I read your posts in the support groups.   Until today - it came to me what I think someone out there needs to read.

God puts you in a circumstance sometimes so that He has a chance to show you something powerful.

Yep - I said it.  Struggled with that one.  But I know first hand that the diagnosis of PSa for me has been a life changer.  Believe it or not in some ways for the better.  It has changed me and my way of thinking.  My seeking of knowledge.  Increased my patience.  I have seen prayers answered and some I am still waiting for an answer.  I have met new friends!  That is my favorite part.  Coping with the help of a few friends that have experienced the same - that is a blessing in itself.  To find and build new relationships with those that understand.

When we are asking God to change our situation, maybe God has put us in a situation to change us.  Yep - that one is difficult to understand - so I think that is where the Peace that passes all understanding comes in - there is no way we can understand how big and powerful our God can be - but I know he has plans for you and I.

Keep marching on.  The message our Pastor spoke this past week gave me the words you see here for you today.

One of my favorite new songs in Elevation Worship "Do It Again" you can copy and paste to your browser to listen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOBIPb-6PTc&list=RDZOBIPb-6PTc&t=277.  If that does not work for you google Elevation Worship  DO IT AGAIN - trust me - you will be glad you did!

The first few words of the song "WALKING AROUND THESE WALLS, THOUGHT BY NOW THEY WOULD FALL" - and our Pastor spoke about the plan to march around the walls of Jericho.  For six days they did what God wanted and on the 7th day - Suddenly the walls fell when they completed all as instructed.  We have to keep marching my friends - God is in the business of suddenly showing up and being incredibly on time and is already there in our future to know our needs.  Keep marching.

Lastly, I want to leave you with a prayer.  I had a few down weeks recently and I know what that is like.  You take one medication to help a side effect from another medication and have a reaction - and bam - just like that you are set back.  That is where I was at and just had nothing to offer you guys to read.  But Jesus is so good y'all!  Got me through that bump in the road and now I am straight and back on the path.

Dear Lord, we come to you today in the name of your son Jesus.  The days are sometimes long, the pain strong, the distance long and our endurance is gone.  It is in these times that we need your healing power more than ever.  We know you are able, we know you can, we know you are strong when we are weak and we are believing in the promises that you mean good for us.  Help us understand that in the darkest night, your light still shines through and help us reach out to you and feel your hope, your love, your forgiveness, healing and freedom.  In Jesus name we ask these things.  AMEN!
